1. with + 목적어 + ing : ~하면서, ~함에따라 

앞에 깃발이 펄럭이는 그 빨간 벽돌건물 보여? 

Do you see that red brick building with a flag flying out front? 

 

출발시간이 점점 가까워 짐에따라 그는 긴장했다. 

With the departure time getting close, he became nervous.  

 

출발시간이 가까워지면서, 그녀는 갑자기 울기 시작했다. 

With the departure time getting close, she suddenly started to cry. 

 

그가 기타를 침에 따라 그녀는 노래를 불렀다. 

She was singing with the boy playing the guitar. 

 

배가 들어옴에 따라 우리는 선착장쪽으로 갔다. 

With the boat coming in, we went toward the dock. 

 

엔진이 굉음소리를 내면서 차가 길 한가운데에 멈췄다. 

The car stopped in the middle of the road with the engine making a roaring sound. 

 

바람이 거의 불지않는 안개 낀 아침이었다. 

It was a misty morning with little wind blowing. 

 

마감일이 다가옴에 따라, 우리는 서둘러서 리포트를 완성했다. 

With the deadline getting nearer, we hurried to complete the report. 

 

 

2. with + 목적어 + p.p. : ~된 채로

 

문이 닫힌채로 안에 있지 마십시오.

Do not stay inside with the door closed. 

 

내 눈을 감은채 그의 이름을 기억하려 노력했다. 

I try to recall his name with my eyes closed. 

 

저기 팔짱낀채 서있는 남자는 누구인가? 

Who is that guy standing over there with his arms crossed  

 

그의 가방이 앞주머니가 찢긴채로 나무밑에 놓여져 있었다. 

His bag was left under the tree with its front pocket ripped. 

 

그는 번호판을 가린 채로 트럭을 몰았다. 

He drove the truck with the license plate covered. 

 

그녀는 페인팅을 마치지 않은채로 방을 나갔다. 

She left the room with her painting unfinished. 

 

그녀는 눈을 감은채로 사무실에 앉아있었다. 

She was sitting alone in her office with her eyes closed. 

 

그의 차는 창문들이 깨진 채로 길에 방치되었다. 

His car was left on the street with the windows broken. 

 

창문이 열린채로 잠에들지 마라. 

Do not go to bed with the window opened. 

 

 

3. with + 목적어 + 형용사/부사(구): ~ 한채로 

 

 

겁먹은 개는 꼬리를 다리사이에 감춘채로 달아났습니다. 

The frightened dog ran away with its tail between its legs. 

 

나는 저 꽃달린 모자가 좋다. 

I like the hat with flowers on it. 

 

방에 불을 켠채로 나가지 말가지 말아라. 

Do not leave the room with the lights on. 

 

그는 주머니에 손을 넣은채 갈을따라 걸어가고 있었다. 

He was walking along the street with his hands in his pockets. 

 

우리는 창문을 열어둔 채로 청소하기 시작했다.
