대명사 구문 2 

1. one ~ and the other ~ : 하나는 ~이고 다른 하나는 ~ 이다. 

I have two childhood friends. One is a lawyer and the other is a doctor. 

나는 두명의 죽마고우가 있다. 한명은 변호사이고 다른 한명은 의사이다. 

I have two sons. One is a doctor and the other is an engineer. 

나는 아들두명이있는데 한명은 의사이고 다른한명은 엔지니어이다. 

There are two tables available now. One is in the corner over there and the other is by the window. 

지금 두개의 테이블이 가능하다 하나는 저기 구석에 있고 다른하나는 창가에있다. 

I have two students who are going abroad. One is going to New York and the other Paris. 

외국에 갈 학생 두명이 있는데 한명은 뉴욕에 가고, 다른한명은 파리에 간다. 

He raised one hand first and then raised the ohter. 

그가 한 손을 먼저 들고 나서 나머지 한 손도 들었다. 

One went out for a walk, and the other was sleeping. 

하나는 산책하러 나갔고, 다른 한명은 자고있었다. 

Write on one side of the page and leave the other side blank. 

종이의 한면에 글을 쓰고 다른면은 비워두세요. 

2. one~, another ~ and the other ~ : 하나는~, 또 하나는~, 나머지 하나는~ 

There are three spoons in my house. One is on the table, another is in the room, 

and the other is in the kitchen. 

우리 집에는 세개의 숟가락이 있다. 하나는 테이블 위에, 또 하나는 방안에, 그리고 나머지 하나는 부엌에 있다. 

I'm taking three English courses. One is English 2, another is English Composition, 

and the other is Advanced English Reading. 

나는 세개의 영어코스를 수강할거다. 하나는 영어2, 다른하나는 영어작문이고 나머지 하나는 고급강독이다. 

There are three room in the house. One is mine, another is my syster's, the other is my parents'. 

집에 세개의 방이 있는데 하나는 내방, 다른하나는 누나의방 나머지하나는 부모님의 방이다. 

There are three-colored soaps. One is red, another is yellow, and the other is blue. 

세가지 색의 비누가 있다. 하나는 빨강, 다른하나는 노랑, 나머지 하나는 파랑이다. 

The country has three official languages. One is English, another is French, and the other is Spanish. 

이 나라는 세개의 공영어가 있다. 하나는 영어, 또하나는 불어, 나머지 하나는 스페인어이다. 

3. for oneself: 스스로 / by oneself:혼자서 / beside oneself: 제정신이 아닌 

He rejected my help to stand up for himself. 

그는 스스로 일어서기 위해 내 도움을 거절했다. 

I did it for myself. 나혼자 스스로 했다. 

 stand up for oneself. 자립하다. (스스로 일어나다.) 

He stood up for himself and became really successful. 

그는 혼자 자립하여 성공하였다. 

Did you do it by yourself? 

정말 당신이 다했나요? 

I was beside myself with anger. 

나는 정말 너무화가나서 제정신이 아니었다. 

He moved all the boxes to the room by himself. 

그는 그 모든박스들을 그의 방으로 옮겼다. 

The child masterd English alphabet by himself. 

그 아이는 혼자서 영어 알파벳을 익혔다. 

You will have to make a decision for yourself. 

너는 너 스스로 결정을 내려야 할것이다.
