1. cannot be ~ : ~일리가 없다.

그녀가 그의 와이프일리없다.
She cannot be his wife.

나의 형이 도서관에 있을리 없다.
My brother cannot be in the library.

그 소문이 사실일리가 없다.
the rumor cannot be true.

2. may well + 동사원형 : ~하는것도 당연하다. ~할것이다.

하와이가 미국에서 가장 아름다운 주 라고해도 과언은 아닐겁니다.
Hawaii may well be the most beautiful state in the U.S

그는 당연히 돌아올것이다.
He may well be back

3. may as well + 동사원형 : ~하는게 낫다

우리가 지금 바로 그것을 하는게 낫겠다.
we may as well do it right now.

너 이렇게하는게 좋겠다.
you may as well do it.

당신은 여자친구와 헤어지는게 낫다.
you may as well break up with your girl friend.

3.1. may as well ~as ... : ... 하느니 ~하는게 낫다

여기있느니 집에 가는게 낫겠다.
I might as well go home as stay here.

당신은 여가시간에 TV를 보는것보다 자는게 낫다.
You may as well go to bed as watch TV in the leisure time.
