1. would rather ~ than ~: ~하기보다는 ~하는게 좋다.

나는 설거지를 하느니 요리를 하는게 더 좋다.
I would rather cook than do the dishes.

나는 시험을 보기보다 논문을 쓰겠다.
I would rather write a thesis than take a test.

그남자랑 결혼하느니 혼자살겠다.
I would rather live by myself than marry that man.

She must have gotten a call from him.

He must have heard us.

그는 컨닝을 했을 것이다.
He must have cheated on the test.

그가 컨닝을 했을리 없다.
He cannot have cheated.

그 죄수들이 감옥에서 탈출했음에 틀림없다.
The prisoners must have escaped from the prison.
